There is power when people unite and pray. Therefore, please join us in prayer for our U.S. Congressional Leaders. Our Heavenly Father tells us in Second Chronicles 7:14: “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
Prayer for Our U.S. Congressional Leaders:
Father, You told us in Your Word to pray for all people and to intercede on their behalf (1 Timothy 2:1-3). Therefore, in Jesus’ Name, I bring the needs of our United States Congress before You.
Pour out Your Spirit upon our Congressional Leaders so that they will lead according to Your Word. Jesus said, “A house divided against itself cannot stand, (Mark 3:25). Therefore, cause the walls of division between our political parties to fall, and bring a spirit of reconciliation between our political parties. Father, may the U.S. Congress be unified, in righteousness, for the sake of the nation, in Jesus’ Name.
Lord, Your Word says when the righteous are in authority the people rejoice (Proverbs 29:2). So, I ask that You remove those national leaders who oppose Your will. Replace them with men and women You have chosen and appointed by Your own hand.
I pray that our government leaders realize their personal inadequacies to fulfill their tasks and depend solely upon You. Father, bless them with wisdom, knowledge, and courage to enact legislation that honors You and ensures the continuance of our nation.
I declare, Father, that You are Lord over our U.S. Congressional Leaders and this nation. Therefore, I release Your will over our government, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
