New Levels in God affirms the following statements of faith:
Affirmation 1: The Bible
We affirm the Bible to be the divinely inspired, inerrant and infallible Word of God.
Affirmation 2: The Trinity
We affirm there is one eternal God Who exists in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Affirmation 3: The Father
We affirm God, the Father, created all things for His glory and pleasure according to His purpose and will. We believe God is an infinite Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. He actively and mercifully intervenes in the affairs of humanity. God hears and answers prayer; and He saves from sin and death all that come to Him through Jesus Christ (Exodus 34:6-7, John 3:16, John 4:23-24, Ephesians 1:3).
Affirmation 4: Jesus Christ
We affirm that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and one with the Father, by Whom all things were made. Christ descended from heaven to be conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. He lived a perfect life on earth. Christ was crucified and died for our sins. He rose bodily, on the third day, according to the Scriptures. Afterwards, Christ ascended into heaven and is now our High Priest and Advocate at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead. Then, Jesus Christ will set up His Kingdom, which will never end.
Affirmation 5: The Holy Spirit
We affirm the Holy Spirit, Who possesses all the attributes of deity as does the Father and Son. He is the author and interpreter of the Holy Scriptures. The Holy Spirit gives new birth to believing sinners. He also indwells, sanctifies, leads, teaches, and empowers believers for godly living and service.
Affirmation 6: Humanity
We affirm all humanity was created in the image of God. We further affirm, all mankind born after the fall of Adam inherited a sin nature and therefore are spiritually dead (Psalms 51:5). However, those who repent of sin and believe in Jesus Christ are spiritually born again to new life by the Holy Spirit.
Affirmation 7: Salvation
We affirm that we are saved by God’s grace through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. Moreover, we affirm that good works are the fruit of such faith. Therefore, we offer our lives in service to God in expression of our gratitude to Him and to expand His Kingdom.
Affirmation 8: The Church
We affirm the Church is the Body of Christ, existing in two aspects: the universal church and the local church. The universal church refers to all believers, worldwide, united in the Body of Christ of which He is the Head (Ephesians 1:22, 2:14-22; 4:1-5). However, the local church is composed of a group of believers, who meet at a specific location. They are led by godly leaders who provide spiritual guidance in the things of the Lord.
Affirmation 9: The Resurrection and Judgment of God
We affirm the bodily resurrection from the dead and all people will face the final judgment of God. The believer will spend eternity in everlasting joy with the Lord. However, the unbeliever will face the White Throne judgment and everlasting separation from God (John 3:36; 5:28-29; 2 Thessalonians 1:5-10, Revelation 20:11-12).
